EUFEPS Council Meeting 2026
by Sandra Häberle
The EUFEPS Council met on 27 May 2026 in Naples, Italy, in a hybrid format to review the Federation's activities and discuss strategic priorities for the coming years. Representatives of the member societies, networks, Executive Committee and partner organisations shared updates on their activities and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration across the European pharmaceutical sciences community.
The Council approved new guidelines for EUFEPS Networks to enhance their visibility, governance and scientific impact, including the establishment of new thematic networks, and elected the Executive Committee for the 2027–2028 term. The meeting also highlighted the important role of EUFEPS Networks in fostering scientific exchange, supporting early-career researchers, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration through conferences, webinars, position papers and other joint initiatives.
A key highlight was the report from the EUFEPS Young Section Committee, which showcased its growing activities in support of early-career pharmaceutical scientists. These include the development of a mentoring programme, the continuation of the EUFEPS Young Talks series and the PhD Competition, active engagement through social media, and strengthened collaboration with other young researcher communities across Europe. The Council welcomed these initiatives as an important contribution to building the next generation of pharmaceutical scientists and strengthening the EUFEPS community.
