Top ten list of pharmaceutical sciences training and education needs

Based on recommendations by committees of EUFEPS as well as on the outcome of the EUFEPS/CMR London Workshop on training needs in 2000 and of a EUFEPS questionnaire in 1996, the below "top ten" training and education needs in pharmaceutical sciences (on PhD level and up) was developed. They seem to include (in alphabetical order):

• Bioinformatics
  
• Combinatorial chemistry
• Design and monitoring of clinical studies
• Genetics
• High-throughput drug metabolism
• In vivo pharmacology
• Medicinal chemistry (except synthesis)
• Pharmaceutical technology
• Pharmacoeconomics
• Toxicology
