Rapidly changing demands, created by newly emerging science and technique in pharmaceutical reserach and development, call for better training and education. The Committee on Training and Education (CTE) of the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS) is a think-tank addressing the considerable heterogenicity of pharmaceutical sciences training and education across Europe, and the CTE Members of it represent different fields of pharmaceutical sciences.

CTE would like to contribute to an effective strategy for (post-graduate level) pharmaceutical sciences reserach training and education, thereby addresseing needs in industry, in academia and in the regulatory field. If you would like to become involved with the CTE, please contact the CTE Chair.

Product lines of the CTE include:

3 Education and Training Course Catalogue

Rapidly changing demands, created by emerging science and techniques in pharmaceutical research and development, call for top quality education and training. To facilitate post-graduate researchers (PhD students, PostDocs and research professionals or scientists in fulfilling their needs, a course catalogue or data base (www.etplatform.eu) is currently being built, providing an overview of high quality training courses in (bio-) pharmaceutical sciences and related subjects throughout Europe. Submitting information on courses fulfilling a number of criteria is welcome.
EUFEPS Course Catalogue/Data Base

A number of years ago, education and training needs, pivotal for the pharmaceutical industry, were identified in a Workshop organised in collaboration with CMR (International Centre for Medicinal Research). The outcome of the Workshop has been published in the Workshop Report: Future Training needs in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Also, a Top-ten List of Pharmaceutical Sciences Training and Education Needs was been put together. It was based on input from several sources, including the above EUFEPS/CMR Workshop, EUFEPS Committee on Industrial Relations (CIR) and EUFEPS Committee on Training and Education (CTE).

Prehaps, the GALENOS Network is also of interest to you. It povides quality education and research in the Pharmaceutical Sciences, with special emphasis on biopharmaceutics, pharmaceutical technology and advanced drug delivery. The GALENOS Network and its Euro-PhD initiative receive funding from the European Commission.
