Preparation of Abstracts
Organisation
Organise
the body of the abstract to include:
a) the objective (preferably one sentence) unless contained in
the title
b) the methods used (if pertinent)
c) the results obtained and conclusion ("The finding will
be discussed" is not sufficient)
d) key references
e) no subtitles ("Results", "Conclusions",
etc.)
Head
a) title in font Arial, bold, 12-pitched, low-case letters starting
from the left margin
b) double space before the authors' names listing first the author
who will present the paper, including the institutional addresses
(do not include degrees, titles or
institutional appointments)
c) double space before the first paragraph of the Abstract
Format
a) confine the Abstract to 12 pages
b) leave a frame of 2,5 cm around the text, A4 210 x 297 mm
c) start the paragraphs from the left margin
d) font Times New Roman, 12-pitch, starting from the left margin
e) erase any errors carefully (with photo-opaque correction fluid)
when applicable, since the typed abstract may be reproduced by
photo-offset
f) double space between the paragraphs, and before the list of
references
References
a)edit the references with reference numbers
b) put reference numbers in the body of the abstract within square
brackets
c) authors. title. journal year;volume:pages. Eg:
Nystrom C, Alderborn G, Duberg M, et al. Bonding surface area
and bonding
mechanismtwo important factors for the understanding of
powder compactibility.

Mailing
The Abstract should be submitted to the EUFEPS Secretariat no
later than December 18, 2002, both as an email attachment
and as a hard copy to the following address:
