Progress Underpinning
Innovative Manufacturing Control and Quality by Design
October
7-8 • 2008 •
Göteborg • Sweden
Invitation
& Aim & Sessions
This is to invite you to plan for the EuPAT3, the third pan-European
Science Conference on Process Analytical Technology (PAT), building
on the successes of EuPAT1 in 2006 and EuPAT2 in 2007. It will be
held in Göteborg, Sweden, on October 7-8, 2008, in conjunction
with the Process Technology Fair. At this event, EuPAT3, special
attention is paid to recent advances in PAT sensors and multivariate
process analytics.
The EuPAT Conference Series is a unique forum for scientists and
engineers, encouraging and promoting progress in science behind
PAT and strengthening the interdisciplinary scientific discussion
that bridges between the various fields underpinning PAT. The focus
for EuPAT is on scientific progress underpinning Innovative Manufacturing
Control and Quality by Design. New findings and results from scientific
research and technology development are discussed in the four areas
that constitute the cornerstones of sessions of the EuPAT Conferences;
Process Informatics; Process Modelling and Understanding; Advanced
Process Sensors; and PAT Based Control and Process Integration.

Organisers
The EuPAT3 is co-organised by the European PAT Science Network of
the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS) and
the Nordic Affiliate of the International Society of Pharmaceutical
Engineering (ISPE), supported by the ISPE Community of Practices
(CoP) of PAT.
The ISPE CoP for PAT provides a network of active PAT practitioners
from industry, academia, the regulatory agencies and suppliers which
promotes understand-ing, open communication and exchange of useful
and relevant information about PAT and process understanding between
all parties.

Founded in 1991, the mission of EUFEPS is to advance excellence
in the pharmaceutical sciences and innovative drug research, and
to represent the interests of scientists engaged in drug research
and development, drug regulation and drug policymaking. Currently,
EUFEPS links 24 Member Societies in 24 European countries, and 12
Member Institutions. It has, in addition, around 600 Individual
Members.
The Central Office is located in Stockholm, Sweden, and a Branch
Office in Vienna, Austria.

ISPE
ISPE, the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering,
is the Society of choice for nearly 23,000 pharmaceutical manufacturing
professionals in 80 countries. ISPE aims to be the catalyst for
“Engineering Pharmaceutical Innovation”, by providing
Members with opportunities to develop technical knowledge, exchange
practical experience, and collaborate with global regulatory agencies.
Founded in 1980, ISPE has worldwide headquarters in Tampa, Florida;
an Asia Pacific office in Singapore; a European office in Brussels,
