Scope and aim

Most developments in health care can, like in every area, be better understood with a sound historical background. In many countries, some history education is part of the pharmaceutical curriculum. Historical knowledge is required now and then for research purposes as well. The Networking Group is intended to support the pharmaceutical science community with any kind of historical knowledge. This is done in close cooperation with the International Society for the History of Pharmacy. Following a German model, the Networking group is going to organize a pre-symposium about historical developments and current situation of pharmacy practice and science in the respective host country immediately before the EUFEPS annual meeting. A first attempt in Frankfurt 2019 was accepted very well.
